This includes diverse performance obligations such as hardware, software, professional services, SaaS, managed services, extended warranties, and maintenance.
Job Duties &
Responsibilities:
Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of the revenue accounting system and processes in compliance with GAAP policies and procedures.
Read and understand customer contracts to analyze terms and conditions impacting revenue recognition.
Support deal desk in reviewing customer contracts, amendments, and SOWs to ensure proper application and documentation of GAAP and company revenue recognition policies.
Design operational procedures and processes to meet audit standards and improve efficiency.
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure SOX compliance of revenue recognition internal controls.
Assess technical accounting considerations for complex revenue arrangements.
Participate in annual audits and special projects related to accounting standards and revenue recognition.
Act as a point of contact and subject matter expert for management and business partners.
Stay updated on FASB, SEC, and AICPA technical developments and interpret requirements for revenue recognition, developing and implementing necessary plans.
Coordinate documentation and testing of SOX controls related to revenue.
Assist in the preparation of financial analysis and reports related to revenue recognition.
Clearly articulate complex revenue accounting issues and prepare revenue recognition positions for internal and external auditor review.

As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recognition of revenue, as well as financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:
Review and analyze revenue contracts to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies Prepare revenue recognition schedules and journal entries Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure revenue is recognized accurately and timely Perform financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis and trend analysis Assist with the month-end close process and ensure all revenue-related accounts are reconciled Assist with external audit requests related to revenue and provide support for internal audits Stay up-to-date with new revenue recognition standards and ensure compliance Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline revenue recognition processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3
